Fitness-my journey part 8



Hey, I never had my phone to post for Wednesday’s post. So I thought I’d just post today.

I wasn’t feeling to well on Wednesday so couldn’t go to the gym and I was busy on Thursday but I did go today midday when my children went to school I havnt been to the gym in the day for a long time and I enjoyed it, I did a few weights and I made a little circuit up.

  • Bicep curls
  • Dumbbell curls 
  • Upright row 
  • Downright row 
  • Press ups

Also went on a few machines 

  • Chest press
  • Leg press
  • Arm press (wrong name I think)
  • Stepper
  • Treadmill 
  • Cross trainer

An hour I went for and I will be going again in the day I felt motivated and the sun was shining ☀️.

My weekly weigh in.

I am hopefully starting slimming world next week a weight loss group which I have been to before and got great results, I weighed myself today and I have put back on 2lb I’m just destined to be 10 stone cannot budge off it. Hopefully the slimming world will help and motivate me.

I will be doing more recipes as you like the ones I put. You will have to let me know if you tried them.

Tortilla Wrap Pizza

On Saturday i made me and my children a different lunch to what we normally have. Here are the ingredients and the method to make it.

Ingredients:

  • Tortilla wraps (I used 50/50).
  • Cheese (any you like I used mature cheddar).
  • A topping (I used ham)
  • Tomato ketchup/purée.

Method:

  1. Put a wrap on a wire rack.
  2. Put the purée or ketchup on the wrap.
  3. Sprinkle the cheese.
  4. Add your topping.
  5. Add a little bit more cheese.
  6. Put under the grill until the cheese has melted.
  7. Put on a board, cut, and serve.

Quick and easy fun snack that you can get your children involved with (if you have children).  🙂

Chilli Con Carni

The weekend I made a chilli con carni for me and my partner, here are the ingredients and the method of how to make it.

Ingredients:

Beef/quorn/lamb/pork (any mince of your choice although I prefer beef mince)

  • 1 onion
  • jar of chilli sauce (i normally use a packet but I found a jar)
  • rice
  • oil
  • chilli flakes (optional)

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add and brown the mince.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the mince.
  4. Drain off any fat.
  5. Boil a pan of water.
  6. Add the rice and cook (according to packet guidelines).
  7. Add sauce to the mince.
  8. Bring to the boil and simmer until rice is cooked or 10-20 minutes which ever is first.
  9. Add your seasoning and chilli flakes if needed.
  10. Drain the rice and add ur seasoning to that if required.
  11. Serve.
  12. Drain the rice

Fitness-my journey part 7

Hello, after a long weekend my children are now back at school, I have been fairly busy today done a lot of walking around so hopefully a few calories burned.

I went to the gym tonight and i did:

warm up – 5 minutes on the cross trainer.

fitness class – circuits, involved:  and a few more cardiovascular activities.

  • Jogging
  • star jumps
  • planking
  • using a TRX
  • squats
  • lunges
  • squat jumps

After that I was going to do a spin class 20 minutes after the first class but it was fully booked so I couldn’t do it, instead I did a few reps with a kettle bell, 3 sets of 10 on the lat pull down and I changed my hand position to work my biceps too and did 3 sets of 10 in that position. I moved on to the calf press and did a few minutes on that. (my routine is just pondering around using equipment at the moment I need to get a routine). I then went on the stepper for 5 minutes, and before I went home I had a walk/ run and a jog on the tread mill for 10 minutes. it was raining outside so i had a little jog home. 🙂

I am trying to stick to a healthy diet, im posting two meals posts up after this one I didn’t want to put a load in one blog post. I cooked these over the weekend one is a snack and the other is a meal.

Hello, this wil be a short blog, my next one will be on Monday the 23rd.

Thank you for likeing and reading my recipe blog I will be doing chilli con carni next week ☺️.

I’m happy to say that in my weekly weigh in I have lost 3lb, my current weight now is 10 St 1lb my aim for next week is below 9st 13lb 😊.

Curried noodles.

Hey guys I did a quick recipe yesterday from the food I found in my cupboard before my weekly shop. Hope you like i, feel free to leave a comment 🙂 thanks for reading. ✌️

Ingredients:

  • Frozen mixed veg ( add to own preference) 
  • Curry sauce (in picture)
  • Soft ready to eat noodles ( in picture) 
  • Salt (optional to taste) 
  • Oil for pan
Method:

  1. Heat a pan with the oil.
  2. Add the noodles to the pan.
  3. Put the frozen vegetables in a jug or bowl and add boiling hot water.
  4. Make up your curry sauce (according to packet instructions )
  5. Add curry sauce to the noodles.
  6.  Drain the vegetables.
  7. Add to the pan. 
  8. Stir and add salt if needed.
  9. Bring to the boil then simmer for 5-7 mins
  10. Serve and enjoy

Hello, sorry for the no show of a blog post yesterday I was busy with my children, and on the night where I usually write my blog I watched a film “let’s kill wards wife” was a good film 😀. Then I watched “game of thrones” I’m on the second episode and will be watching the third tonight ✌️.

Starting back at the gym on Monday, cannot wait to do that Iv been drained this week. Motivation is what I need and I will be writing my blog next week and have all the things I did at the gym to write about.

Next week also I will be doing some recipes with pictures, ingredients and a method of how to cook.

Tomorrow will be a weigh in for me I will update tomorrow with the results but personally I think I have gained but we will see.

Fitness-my journey part 4



Hey guys, been a quiet weekend. Thanks for those who followed me and viewed my posts, I will follow back any one who follows me.

My eating has been roughly the same as the other days, today was healthier I had porridge for breakfast and pasta for lunch not had my dinner yet but will b having a pasta bake with garlic bread.

Cannot wait to go back to the gym as I have a bit more motivation now, my wedding is starting to be planned and may be booked for the 16th of July 2016 😀. So need to lose these pounds to look good for my big day.

Porridge will be for breakfast again tomorrow I have it with blueberrys.

My children are on school holidays so motivation at the moment is hard with occupying them .

I drank the water I wanted over the weekend but not what I need I will try harder to drink more but I did stay active I cleaned my house from top to bottom 😊.

My life is not very exciting but I do appreciate the people who read and follow me and my journey.

Next post will be on Wednesday the 18th.

Fitness-my journey part 2

Thank you for reading my very first blog, I hope that you enjoyed it and will read this one, feel free to leave a comment and any advice on my blog writing skills as I’m new ☺️.

Since my last post my eating has been a bit up and down, breakfast and lunch has been ok managing to stay healthy but dinner time has been hard I have been eating takeaway food for dinner or tea and I have not been to the gym, the cold weather outside is putting me off a bit I know I shouldn’t have no excuses but I have made a promis to my self to start again from Monday.

My eating will get better over the next few days I just have to resist temptation as I am craving chocolate at the minute 🙈.

I had for breakfast yesterday: strawberry weetabix.

And today I had: porridge.

For lunch yesterday: takeaway chips and bread (my bad).

Today: peanut butter sandwich, grapes, and a single mcdonalds cheese burger.

Dinner I had: takeaway burger and fries.

Today: small bollonaise portion.

I haven’t drank as much water as I need to either because I now have a sensitive tooth 🙊 (not having much luck).

Walking has been a big thing over the past few days I walk about 5-10 miles per day in my daily activities of doing a school run (twice different schools) so that is a Positive  👍✔️. 

I had feedback on my blog yesterday (thank you) and she asked about measurements and photos (before and after).

I don’t have a photo of me before I lost nearly 3 stone because I lost it as I changed phone, but I will be taking photos I will post them on my next blog 😊.

Measurements, two years ago from what I could remember they was (can’t remember my breast measurements)

  • Waist (below breasts) 35″
  • Stomach/hips (below belly button) 44″
  • Thighs 25″
  • Arms (bicep part) 12″

And now they are:

  • Waist 30″
  • Stomach/hips 37″
  • Thighs 22″
  • Arms 11″

So they are my measurements as of now I will do them again in 4 weeks time.

My next blog as I said in Monday’s blog will have my current weight in on Friday.
